It should be deployable as an applet as well (although obviously not
all features will be enabled) to hopefully we can have the best of
both worlds.

Basically just pushing the FOAF file up/downstream to the weblog so
you can use the tool to manage your FOAF description. I had lots of
questions along the lines of "now what do I do" from people using the
original FOAF-a-matic. I wanted to make it easy to publish the file so
they can just add the icon to their template.

Supporting FTP would probably be enough, although I'd hoped that the
Blogger and/or Manila XML-RPC APIs would have allowed this, but they
seem to just support creating posts which doesn't fit in this case.

IIRC Radio Userland has some kind of 'upstreaming' folder so it might
be enough for people to save it there. Need to investigate it a bit
further though.
