[gnome-bluetooth] Gnome-obex problem: my duck won't quack

I have RedHat9 and have installed what I think are the latest RPMs

gnome-bluetooth-0.4.1.tar.gz
gob2-2.0.6-1.i386.rpm
libbtctl-0.3-4.i386.rpm
gnome-bluetooth-0.4.1-3.i386.rpm
libopenobex1-1.0.0-1mdk.i586.rpm
libbonobo2-1.0.22-4mdk.i586.rpm


When I run gnome-obex-server, I get 
  OBEX Object Push service registered 
  [a cute blue triangle appears on the taskbar]
  Server register error! (Bluetooth) (-94)

I haven't a clue what to do next.

Possibly related, possibly not, when I run gnome-bluetooth-admin I
just get:

  ** (gnome-bluetooth-admin:24277): WARNING **: Couldn't get instance of BT Manager

I am using the latest RedHat9 kernal, 2.4.20-20.9.  Any help or
pointers would be appreciated.
