Looks like I left a dependency off in the version of the package you
got.  Not quite sure how -- could you send the output of 

apt-cache show gnome-bluetooth

to me?

Install python2.3-libbtcl and tell me if that helps.

It's looking for /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/btctl.so from that
package, I hope.
