Your testing was broken, see my update in the bug.

They're aliases. eg.:
$ grep 6021 phones/*.c
phones/nk6510.c:                "6510|6310|8310|6310i|6360|6610|6100|
series40", /* Supported models */

Some would, but the AT driver is the default, so it doesn't need any
special configuration in gnome-phone-manager.
