Hello everyone,
Browsing through the mails sent to the list, I've been able to spot some
unsolved problems. As the list is growing, I thought it could be
interesting for everyone to list the "unsolved problems". This list is
unordered (just in the order it came to my mind :)
* It would be interesting to be able to say with DOAP "this project is
associated with this other project" (Lion Kimbro, lion at speakeasy.org,
28/07/2004, 16:37 GMT,
http://lists.usefulinc.com/pipermail/doap-interest/2004-July/000027.html);
to "aggregate projects", ie identify sub-projects, as in the GNOME
Desktop, or identify smaller components, that may or not have separate
maintainer(s), but who do not have a separate homepage (Shaun McCance,
shaunm at gnome.org, 28/07/2004, 21:50 GMT,
http://lists.usefulinc.com/pipermail/doap-interest/2004-July/000032.html
sqq).
* The "doap:os" bug. First posted by Damian Steer (pldms at mac.com) on
28/07/2004, 16:27 GMT... Seems that no doap:os doesn't mean "not
OS-specific"... Other problems is with the requirement (or dependencies)
a project has in order to compile / work properly.
* What about DOAP files that contain more than one project? asked Morten
Frederiksen (mof-rdf at mfd-consult.dk) on 30/07/2004, 21:46 GMT. He purposed
to adopt something similar to foaf:primaryTopic in order to simplify the
problem
(http://lists.usefulinc.com/pipermail/doap-interest/2004-July/000035.html).
* How to associate a (foaf:)Person to a (doap:)Project (maintainer-of, etc)?
wondered Christopher Schmidt on 30/07/2004, 02:30 GMT
(http://lists.usefulinc.com/pipermail/doap-interest/2004-July/000033.html).
Well, here is the end of my list... It may contain errors, but is provided
"AS IS" :)
Cordialement,
Vincent TABARD
