[doap-interest] 9 mulitilingual Software Taxonomies released in 7 languages

Hi all,

I would like to bring to the attention of the subscribers of this list 
that we have released 9 software taxonomies with multilingual labels in 7 
languages under an open licence. These taxonomies [3] include: 
- Intended Audience;
- Natural Language;
- Operating System;
- Programming Language;
- Licence Type;
- Status;
- Topic; 
- User Interface / Graphical Environment; and
- Publisher Type.

The taxonomies are represented in a machine readable format: the SKOS 
standard of W3C. The majority of these taxonomies were originally made 
available in March 2012 by SourceForge under CC BY 3.0 [2]. Other 
taxonomies such as Licence Type and Publisher Type were contributed by 
members of the AMDS.SW Working Group, including the Technology Transfer 
Centre [4] of the Spanish Government and CENATIC [5], the Spanish 
open-source competence centre, 

We hope that the use of common taxonomies to categorise software will 
contribute to making software better searchable on the Web.
