Compile gnome-phone-manager like this:
FEATURES="nostrip" USE="debug" emerge gnome-phone-manager

That should do it.

OTOH, I've been trying to hunt down a nasty mono/glibc/gdb bug the last
few days and I have the feeling that latest ~x86 glibc is a bit broken
on gentoo...
