Hi,

i don't know if this is a timeout problem or something else, I'll try
to describe it as good as possible.

Dell Latitude D620, running Ubuntu 6.10 with the latest package,
3.7-1ubuntu4. Gnome desktop...
Sony Ericsson W810i

Scenario 1
1. Start scanning for devices with the phone.
2. My laptop is discovered
3. Phone asks for pin, I input 1234
4. Computer shows a dialog saying "Pairing request from xx:xx:xx:xx:xx"
5. 10 seconds passes and phone times out with error msg

Very rarely I get a dialog box on my computer after 5-10 seconds
giving my an opportunity to input the PIN on the computer as well. I
think this is something that should happen every time and almost
instantly. There is a huge delay and this makes me think it is a
timeout problem.

Scenario 2
1. I type "hcitool cc XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX"
2. The icon on my phone changes, indication that I've got a connection
3. obexftp -b XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX -p somefile
4. Phone responds with "Someone wants to browse your objects,
allow/disallow?". I respond yes
5. Phone wants me to input a PIN, I input 1234
6. Nothing more happens and I get a timeout error message on the phone.

I am completely new to Bluez, have browsed the maillist about a year
back. Have followed some of the howtos but I can't find anything about
this.

Anyone?

Thank alot =)

/Peter
