Hi Bastien, all,

After

    sudo dnf upgrade
    sudo reboot

bluetoothctl # pair with my phone

I have a working "gnome-control-center bluetooth" GUI. It lists my
phone. and I can use the on/off button in the window title bar.

What's left to do is figuring out whether the upgrade did it or the
pairing on the command-line.

As an attempt to eliminate one option, I did

    bluetoothctl# remove 40:B8:37:64:88:C8 (AFAIK, this un-pairs device)

"gnome-control-center bluetooth" still worked after this. So perhaps
it was the system upgrade?
