Hi Gavin and list members,

Thanks for your reply. To start with the last: I was not aware of LISA's and
other groups' initiatives in this area. I will check it out and see in how
far these solutions fit in with my "task". I am aware of the XLIFF
initiative, but information is still pretty scarce.

As regards TM2, when working with IBM in 1988/1989, we used the mainframe
forerunner of IBM TM (call it TM-0 [zero], if you like). We certainly have
come a long way...

Hello Nico,
  a couple of questions about the above: have you used systems like TM2? Are
you aware that LISA and some other groups are working on DTD's to help with
localization?
