did you look at http://usefulinc.com/foaf/signingFoafFiles ?

the weaknes of the approach is that it is not actually signing rdf but a
file, so its hard to aggreagte personal profiles and retain the
signature. but the pgp approach of mutulal key-signing is certainly much
more foaf-like than to have identies confirmed by a ca [1].
