Just Sunday night musing before nipping out to see if any bars are still
open.
Some of the trust apps like Advocato seem to me more to do with clique
making than any kind of open social activity. At present the trust
connections that are made through FOAF start at zero and build. Whitelists
can work, but they do involve effort. Ditto for blacklists. I'm wondering if
there might be other ways of starting with 'everyone is my friend' and
filtering down, without having to maintain an exhaustive list of either
friends or non-friends. The nodes in the graph look very big in the current
view, perhaps the emphasis could somehow be shifted to the arcs, and a trust
relationship in the graph be created by interaction between the parties.
e.g. by emailing James, I'm asserting that I trust him...
I don't know, probably just inane rambling.
I bet they're shut now too.

Danny.
